Friday notes:
-I've read different stories on the whole Calipari/Memphis NCAA investigation. I've read in some articles that it's not that big of a deal and I've read that it's going to put a bad mark on Coach Calipari's career. The always biased one, Pat Forde is slamming the University of Kentucky, yet again. Pat Forde is becoming the most hated sports writer to me because every time I catch him on tv on ESPN or read an article on espn.com, he's always hating on the cats. I think Pat Forde is very biased toward Coach Cal and the Cats and I wish ESPN would find someone else to do his job! Ok that's enough griping.
-Jodie Meeks has made it clear now that if he isn't guranteed to be a top 25 pick in this year's NBA draft and many doesn't think he will. Jodie refers to the thought of him going in the draft regardless of where he goes in the draft as inaccurate. I think Jodie will be back. He hasn't developed a drive game yet. He can shoot the ball very well and is really great scorer but when creating off the dribble against a good defender, Meeks will sometimes struggle. I feel with the Dribble Drive Motion Offense that Meeks will be really tough and with Wall in the backcourt he isn't the main focus. Meeks needs to come back and it would be a whole lot better for him and that's what he wants to do, do what's best for him...so I think he'll be back.
-UK has countersued Billy Gillispie, claiming that Clyde did not sign a formal contract. I feel as though Billy Clyde Gillispie is digging himself into very deep hole. It's summer time, Billy Clyde doesn't have any good young men to run to death and run them through his so called..."Boot Camp." Gillispie needs to give it up and go back to Texas and hangout in those bars. He did three good things here at UK....recruit Patrick Patterson and Daniel Orton and getting fired. Later Billy Clyde!
-NBA results tonight...Cavs win 112-102 force a game 6 and trail the Magic 3-2 in the series. Lakers and Nuggets will play in Denver tomorrow night at 9 pm on ESPN.....Lakers lead series 3-2.
-That's it for the night...Pat Forde needs to leave UK alone, and the more the whole Meeks draft status continues to update, I feel he will come back! I think Gillispie has no clue what he is doing with this whole situation. Good night folks!!!!
